Miranda Godfrey
I am Married, have five children and work full time as well as running my own business www.poppedupmarket.co.uk .
I currently work at London’s leading culinary arts school, Westminster Kingsway College, as course coordinator for the International Culinary Arts Diploma. I have had many years’ experience working as a chef and lecturer.
Previously I have worked in Hotels, Directors dining and events.
As a member of the Craft guild of chefs I have won Gold & Silver medals nationally and internationally.
I am one of 10 UK waste ambassadors representing Sustain. I recently helped run the stage in Trafalgar Square for ‘Feed the 5000’ event with Tristrum Stewart, Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall, Val Warner and Thominsina Myers
My passion is cooking. I decided to create a business and website as lots of people kept asking me to cater for private dinners, cookery lessons and consultancy.
The dishes I create are natural, seasonal and sustainable, using the freshest ingredients to bring together food which delights my customers, from children’s cooking clubs and parties, to bespoke weddings & events, corporate, private dining and pop up restaurants.
I have taught celebrity chefs, include Sophie Wright (also a well-established cookery author), Sophie Michell (youngest female exec head chef) and Henry Herbert (fabulous Baker Brother). All have made frequent appearances on TV.
I have recently had six fine dining recipes published in ‘A Class of its Own’.
